After the trepidation of the lowering of the lintel its time for the granite we had made by Terry from a block taken out of Plymouth dockyard, to be secured in place. They look fabulous and the new patio doors are going to be awesome!! Meanwhile....Chris has taken down the gable ends in the stable. These were very wobbly and had many large holes in the stone work. That and lintels that had more wood worm than wood had taken its toll on the stability of the whole structure. We are going to build a concrete ring beam around the whole stable to firm everything up and give a base to build up new walls and roof....well done Chris. Hmmm, it will all be okay in the end.
