The temperature hit minus four last night and added to the wintery feel this morning, as we began to put up the wreath. Many lovely comments from parents, children and neighbours. Thank you all.

Christmas is just around the corner and the chapel needs to get festive. So in true teacher style, a hoola hoop, pipe insulation, cheap tinsle and baubles are lovingly put together with some of our own ivy and holly to make an amazing wreath, well done Jan.
As the store is a sectional building, it sits on gravel with a few pallets to keep it off the ground and ventilate it.
Nearly 7 months after I first phoned to ask for a fibre connection, we now have one. Not just any old fibre connection a real live fibre to premises connection, so super fast broadband, in this case is accurate! 200megs well done and thank you Openreach/BT.
We had Paul 'The blaster man' in today to cut back the woodwork and remove the old varnish/paint layers. Looks good and saved months of hand sanding! It was very dusty work and he wore a special suit with ventilation can you see him just inside the door?
I couldn't either! We purchased a storage building for the worship end and pews which will enable us to start work on the stable after Christmas. So digging a level space for the base to go on is the task in hand. Digging down we find and remove two tree stumps that must have been pretty big trees once upon a time.
The rain of the last few days was topped up with a deluge last night that came through under the walls and settled in the Sunday school to a depth of 60mm. We willl need to sort this before we seal up the floor.
The last pad has been poured and we are nearly ready for the steels. Just a lot of blocks to put in place and a big tidy up. but that is only a couple of hours work so we went for a day out to Cotele House!
