We had a great Christmas with Joe, Sarah and John, then met up with Clare and Jackie at Mary and Martins, thank you all for a great time, we returned to Cardinham. The tasks were much as before we left so just business as usual really. The floor edges still need to be completed and the first task is too secure metal mesh over the vents to keep out the mice and bugs. Each one is different and needs a bespoke solution to make it work. They also have to have a solid top to take the weight of the insulation and floor screed. Once that is in place it is cementing up the edges to make the floor secure.

Today the new gas bottles were hooked up. It turns out our boiler was being starved of gas pressure at the same time as the regulator on the bottles was chucking out way too much gas! Not sure how that works but we now have a heated caravan and plenty of gas in reserve.
Today we heard about the Mousehole lights, they have been put up each year since 1963 and raise several thousands of pound for charity each year. So we went to see them and very nice they are too. As we were there and a coffee was required we pulled into the Old Coast Guard a lovely Inn where we found Alice, one of the wider Carpenter clan! She has been working there for a while and it was very unexpected but wonderful too. Sadly we didn't see the cat, but Jan was relieved,,,
The stable needs to be emptied, nothing to do with the possible visit from a couple called Mary and Joseph, but so that we can start to do the under pinning in the new year. The steel frame has found a temporary use as a lofty store for the celotex insulation. Jan got creative turning the Caravan all Christmassy and our first Christmas cards arrived, thanks all, it's good to know although we are not with you all we are in your thoughts. Happy Christmas to everyone.
It was much warmer today and the Wreath looked great. We went out to Padstow last night, lovely event with food tasting and drink samples mixed into a wonderful olde worlde scene. Fabulous lights and singing. Thank you to the park and ride staff too.
